We all know moving house can be very stressful, especially if your sale date and purchase date of your new home doesn’t correspond. Let Total Storage take the pain out of moving with all the answers to the questions that are involved with domestic storage. Where will my belongings be stored? The goods will be stored in wooden storage containers inside our warehouse. The containers are 7.5ft x 5.5ft x 8ft tall. Approx. 310sq.ft.
How secure will my furniture be? The warehouse is fully alarmed (Red Care System), a CCTV system records and stores any movement outside the access points to the building. Management staff are coached to be vigilant regarding your possessions and their security.
Are my belongings insured? Your goods are insured at standard RHA rates. We advise you to extend your own contents insurance policy to cover storage or we can refer you to a local insurance agent who will provide you with a quote.
Can you collect from our current home and deliver to out new home when required? Yes, we can collect your goods. Rates vary on distance from our storage warehouse and the size of house to be stored. As an example, collection within Cwmbran to go into store of a 3 bed house contents is £180.00 + VAT (prices may vary slightly if extraordinary items are required to be moved). Having been in store we will then deliver to your new address. Delivery prices are comparative to collection charges.
How much of my belongings will I get into a container? From experience, a 1 or 2 bed flat will go into 1 container, a 3 bed house will go into 2 or 3 containers, a 4 bed house will go into 3 or 4 containers.
How much does a container cost? We charge £20.00 per week for any 1st container required, then £15.00 per week for any consecutive container. For example, 2 containers £35.00 per week, 3 containers £50.00 per week.
Can I have access to my stored items? Yes, just give our office a ring and we can have your box available for you to add or retrieve your goods.
Can I bring my contents to the storage warehouse myself? Yes, when booking your container(s) you can specify self delivery. We will have your container available for you to load yourself.
